July 27th Ash Gill Beck,Torver

Very foggy to start but soon turned into a fine hot day.

This is a new walk Starting at Torver,but best done in dry conditions as part of walk is across Bull Haw Moss which is very boggy.Takes you thru' woodland and open grassy fell almost to the Old Man passing thru'old workings.c 5miles

Parking at Torver £2.00 honesty box

a bit overgrown to start

but soon clearing

same cant be said for the fog
the fog is lifting to reveal Dow Crag and the Old Man of Coniston from Bull Haw Moss
one of the old levels the beck disappears into the level here to reappear lower down
had a cooling splash here...very welcome
