Due to a late start and sunshine we decided to take a picnic to Gummers.
We got to the top and ....i find this hard to believe ..The heavens opened rain and hail lashed down and washed the picnic away.
Such is life in the Lake District.We had to laugh.
Good walk however and we did eat our roll under a overhanging rock before beating a hasty retreat back to Bowness.(not a drop of rain in Bowness)
